For over 25 years, Healing Hands served a small, aging clientele without any outreach efforts to attract new customers. The four therapists on staff struggled to keep their schedules full, and the business had no clear plan for growth.
With new ownership, the goal was to expand the team, bring in more therapists, and consistently book appointments weeks in advance to ensure long-term profitability and job security.
Healing Hands lacked an established visual brand. To attract a younger, broader audience, we developed a new brand identity that avoided gender-specific tones, aiming to appeal to both men and women. This strategic shift was crucial, as men had traditionally not been a core part of the business's clientele.
The spa’s previous design featured heavy purple tones and floral patterns, which limited its appeal. We restructured the branding with a fresh color palette and textures more commonly associated with massage therapy. This change helped Healing Hands connect with new customers without alienating their loyal, long-time clients.
A key revenue stream for Healing Hands is gift certificate sales, allowing people to buy services for others, even if they aren’t customers themselves. PDG+creative developed an easy-to-navigate website that streamlined the online purchase of gift certificates, enhancing the customer experience and boosting repeat business.
With the updated brand and web solutions in place, we focused on fostering repeat business. Consistent branding across all touchpoints—both in the spa and online—helped create a cohesive customer experience, encouraging clients to return regularly and share their positive experiences with others.
In order to raise brand awareness, we applied the new identity consistently across all marketing materials. Healing Hands had never focused on a unified message, so this step was crucial to establishing a recognizable presence in the community and appealing to a wider audience.
Thanks to an outcome-focused strategy and strong buy-in from the owners, Healing Hands has seen tremendous success. Pam and Patrick, the new owners, have been relentless in ensuring all marketing efforts align with their refreshed brand. As a result, they have added two new therapists, expanded their space, and are now booking appointments solid, weeks in advance. This success has also enabled them to increase their rates, securing long-term profitability.
